Let's Take Care of Bees: Essential Pollinators of Life on Earth

At EACNF, we reaffirm our commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Aware of the essential role that pollinators play in ecosystems and their close relationship with food security, we support the actions of the Sustainable Production Units (UPS), an association created in Ecuador in 2021 and regulated by the Superintendence of Popular and Solidarity Economy.

The UPS promote a sustainable development model based on six fundamental guidelines, all inspired by a holistic vision of the relationship between human beings and nature: Human Being - Life - Planet.

Their actions are focused on the protection of Apis mellifera bees, the main representatives of pollinators, due to the large number of individuals per hive and the crucial impact they have on biodiversity and the balance of ecosystems.

Without pollination, many plant species would disappear, which would seriously affect biodiversity and put global food security at risk. For this reason, at EACNF we work to raise awareness and promote actions to protect these vital beings for life on the planet.
