Protecting Bees, Caring for the Future
At EACNF we encourage projects that promote the wellbeing of bees and nature. From reforestation with bee flora to educational programs and sustainable tourism, each initiative seeks to create a positive impact. Join us in this mission and discover how you can help protect these valuable pollinators.
We assist in the creation of pollinator gardens. In the resources section, you will find a list of recommended bee flora so you can implement your own (2021)

Pollination and the Role of Bees 🐝🌼
Bees are the main pollinators in nature and play an essential role in the reproduction of many plants and crops.
How do bees pollinate?
Nectar and pollen foraging 🌸🍯: When visiting flowers to feed, bees collect pollen on their bodies.
Pollen transfer 🔄: As they move from flower to flower, pollen is transferred to the pistil, allowing fertilization.
Seed and fruit production 🍏🌱: Thanks to pollination, plants can produce seeds and fruits, ensuring their reproduction.
Importance of bees in pollination.
🐝 They pollinate more than 75% of the world's food crops (fruits, vegetables, nuts).
🐝 They ensure biodiversity, as they enable the reproduction of wild plants.
🐝 They maintain healthy ecosystems, favoring the life of other animals.
Threats to bees 🚨
⚠️ Excessive use of pesticides.
⚠️ Loss of natural habitats.
⚠️ Climate change.
⚠️ Diseases and parasites.
How can we help bees?
✅ Plant flowers that provide them with food.🌻🌿
✅ Avoid the use of toxic pesticides. 🚫🧴
✅ Supporting sustainable beekeeping. 🍯🐝
✅ Create bee shelters in gardens and fields. 🏡
Bees are essential to our food supply and ecological balance.
Celebrating World Bee Day: Art and Education for the Protection of Bees (2022)

Every May 20, we celebrate World Bee Day, a key date to raise awareness of the fundamental role of these pollinators in biodiversity and food security. To commemorate this occasion, we promote various educational and artistic activities that highlight the importance of bees in our ecosystem and encourage their protection.
The main initiative this year was the creation of urban art murals, designed to inspire and raise community awareness of the urgency of protecting bees. These works reflected: The importance of pollination in food production.
🌻 The beauty of natural ecosystems where bees live.
🚨 The dangers they face, such as the use of pesticides and deforestation.
Sowing the Future: Protecting the Home of the Bees (2023)

We promoted reforestation initiatives with bee flora in the areas where the rescued bees live. In these activities, the children were the protagonists, actively participating in the planting and learning about the importance of preserving the natural environment of these valuable pollinators. If you want to help, in resources you can find valuable information that will allow you to get started.
Beekeeping: Experience the Magic of the Bees and Become their Keeper (2024)

The beekeeping project is already underway and invites you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of bees. Through guided tours, you will be able to explore “the home of the bees” up close, observe their behavior in their natural environment and understand their essential role in pollination, biodiversity and food security.
This educational experience will also allow you to learn about the challenges pollinators face, such as pesticide use and habitat loss, and discover how we can contribute to their protection. We want to inspire you to be part of the change, so you will have the opportunity to become an ambassador for pollinators, promoting their care and raising awareness in your community about their importance.
In addition, we join the Sustainable Production Units to strengthen this natural adventure, promoting responsible practices that benefit both bees and the environment.
Join this initiative and help us protect these small but powerful guardians of the ecosystem!.
